Chapter 127: War Golem Beast

Gehil glanced at the two Undead Guardians ten meters away and raised his right hand to snap his fingers.

A slight tremor occurred, and a fragmented lightning bolt appeared in the void, so close it seemed within reach. Xu Feng widened his eyes.

Xu Feng looked up. It was a beast entirely forged from bronze material, shaped like a leopard, over two meters long and about half a person’s height. Its claws and teeth shimmered with a silvery-white glow, looking extremely sharp.

There were many interfaces on its body surface, seemingly capable of supporting numerous attachments. Xu Feng guessed that during combat, this Bronze beast could be equipped with many powerful weapons; these interfaces must be for loading those weapons.

Xu Feng observed carefully and noticed that the Bronze beast seemed somewhat jerky in its movements. Every time it twisted its waist, a creaking friction sound could be heard.

“This is the War Golem Beast I just crafted,” Gehil said, patting the Bronze beast’s body. “Originally, it was my most outstanding creation, but during the crafting process, a small mishap occurred. The material for the spine supporting its entire body had a defect. During a combat experiment, it couldn’t withstand the load of too many weapons and broke.”

Xu Feng suddenly understood. So, this Mechanist had taken a liking to the Bone Whip’s spine-like shape and wanted to remodel it into this Bronze beast’s spine.

“Your weapon’s material is excellent, but the one who forged it must have been an idiot to actually craft it into a weapon. Its best destiny is to become the spine component of my War Golem Beast,” Gehil said loudly.

After speaking, Gehil stroked the long whip with both hands, as if using some kind of skill.

After a short while, a silvery-white light flashed between Gehil’s hands. Under his touch, the Bone Whip gradually changed form, transforming from a weapon into a mechanical beast part resembling a spine.

The transformation seemed to consume a great deal of Gehil’s stamina. He breathed heavily a few times, sweat beaded on his forehead, and a look of fatigue showed in his eyes.

In his hands, a spine component shone with a golden light, radiant as if it had just been removed from some living creature, emanating a sense of vitality.

Xu Feng checked the time. There was one minute and twenty seconds left until the summoning ended.

“Master, how long will it take for you to complete the modification of this War Golem Beast?” Xu Feng asked anxiously. “After all, there isn’t much summoning time left.”

Gehil glared at Xu Feng. “What’s the rush? My War Golem Beast is a masterpiece, not some shoddy product from a minor workshop. It must be meticulously crafted, every step perfected.”

Having said that, Gehil ignored Xu Feng completely, directly took out tools from his storage item, and started modifying the Bronze beast with clinking sounds.

The sacrificial item had already been given to Gehil, and Xu Feng had no means to compel Gehil to fulfill his duty.

Gehil watched the battle between the Bronze beast and the two Undead Guardians intently, as if evaluating the Bronze beast’s combat performance, murmuring under his breath.
