Chapter 150: Invincible in [Assassin Mode]
Chapter 150: Invincible in [Assassin Mode]
Your Majesty the King was truly amazing!
This wasn’t the first time the servants saw King Alexander’s amazing deeds, but this time, they were still shocked.
Those fierce beast herds saw His Majesty and acted as tender as lost children finding their parents.
But Sun Fei didn’t bother noticing the servants’ shock and worship right then. Being a level 21 Druid, he made the Blaze Beasts accept him with ease. These Magical Beasts had blank minds, muddled like little kids, much worse than the Big Black Dog for gaining trust. Taking some [Health Potion] from his Belt Space, Sun Fei started treating the badly hurt Blaze Beasts. A few had broken leg bones, and some even had necks snapped in the earlier charge, left with just a breath, ready to die. Their big black eyes stared at Sun Fei, filled with a heartbreaking look of pleading.
After pouring four or five bottles of [Health Potion], all the hurt Blaze Beasts finally got back to normal.
Lucky for him, since all seven main roles were passed, Sun Fei’s cost for exchanging potions had dropped low. Also, he’d been a rich man short on nothing in the World of Diablo from selling jewels, so he could handle the cost.
With the Blaze Beasts healed, Sun Fei paused, then secretly mixed a small dose of [Hulk Potion] into their water. He told the servants what to watch out for later and left the middle stables.
When Sun Fei left, the Blaze Beast herd’s mood had calmed totally. Thanks to his earlier clear hints and steering, the servants could get close easily to groom their scales. Now, like children holding onto parents, the herd looked at Sun Fei with eyes full of longing.
This magic sight stunned the servants all over again.
Sun Fei dreamed away of turning every Blaze Beast into a monster mount using [Hulk Potion], like he’d done with the Big Black Dog. But he looked up and saw something in the distance that blew his mind—Angela, in a light-blue dress, was glowing happily among the war horse herd like a goddess from fairy tales. The restless horses had strangely gone quiet, all kneeling around her as loyal guards to their princess. It was just like the stories Bards tell about unicorns gathering around the life beauty goddess.
Sun Fei wiped his eyes; he wasn’t mistaken.
This was really odd. He could soothe the fierce Flame Beast herd because of his Druid Might, but what about Angela? Was Missy Angela also a secret Druid? How could she tame a wild war horse herd so fast? But as far as Sun Fei knew, the Azeroth Continent had no Druid role…
Other servants guarding Angela stood frozen beside her, faces full of clear confusion.
…
“Alexander, I don’t know why. I felt like I sensed their moods, and I didn’t do much—just tried to comfort them. Then the horses knelt down peacefully… hehe, they’re so cute and gentle!”
On the way back, Angela’s answer puzzled Sun Fei more. He’d long known Angela had rare animal appeal most people lacked. The Big Black Dog had been fierce and hard to get near before [Hulk Potion] changed it, but Angela tamed it easily. There were tons of other cases, but Sun Fei never looked close enough.
Today’s event was a bit too freaky, though—not just “appeal” anymore. Those war horses were so wild in new, strange scenes that pros couldn’t tame them. Earlier, Urban Management teams had struggled with brute force just to push them into stables. How could Angela, with zero skill, do it? It seemed amazing. Were animals also charmed by Angela’s pure face and chose not to hurt her?
Sun Fei thought that and shook his head, fast tossing off this comical idea.
The secret would need time to unfold slowly.
Back at the Royal Palace, Angela and Gemma were tired and went to rest early in a side room.
Sun Fei stayed wide awake. He went to the study, pulled out some simple Aura Manuals he’d gathered earlier, and carefully grasped them. He planned to use [Assassin Mode]’s good parts to upgrade and create new Aura Manuals.
He drilled all the Qi Channel paths from a Two-Star Level Aura Manual into his mind. Then flipping to [Assassin Mode], Sun Fei shut his eyes, focusing hard on the Assassin’s unique Might flow—‘True Qi Might’—through his body’s veins. He lifted a goose-feather pen and, mixing in that old Two-Star Level Aura Manual, drew fresh Qi Channels on sheepskin before him.
Once done, Sun Fei had built seven new Qi Channels from scratch. After his tweaks, the Two-Star Aura Manual [Rock Splitting Strike]—once with just seven Qi Channels—now had fourteen. By the rule that more Qi Channels mean higher book rank, this manual should’ve hit Three-Star.
But that was just in theory.
He couldn’t promise how the real training would go; it needed testing next.
Drawing the new Qi Channels ate up lots of Mental Power. Even with Sun Fei’s strong Mental Power now, fixing just one Aura Manual drained him a bit.
He retreated to a bedroom, almost about to rest, when—suddenly—a heavy wave of power waves came from Back Mountain of Shampoo City’s secret spot.
Sun Fei’s heart jumped, his face stiffened. Only one thing fit this—someone had activated the Magic Traps laid on Back Mountain.
It couldn’t be the mountain guards.
They all knew the safe paths.
That meant… invaders were here!
Alarmed, under [Assassin Mode], Sun Fei’s shape blurred. He vanished instantly, becoming unseen smoke in the dark sky, zipping to Back Mountain of Shampoo City without a sound.
True enough, way off, Sun Fei saw Back Mountain’s forbidden zone lit by red flames and white lightning spikes, biting through the night shadows. Under the glare, figures danced as battle roared louder.
“Who dares invade Shampoo City’s Back Mountain sanctum?” Peter Cech’s yell hit Sun Fei’s ears. The figures traced quick swaps, swords clashing sparks non-stop. A lone intruder faced Cech, backed by several elite guards at Bronze Saints’ level—plus help from Sun Fei’s Magic Traps—but they only held an even fight. The invader seemed strong still.
Right then, Sun Fei landed just in time.
“Stand back, I’ll fight him alone!” Sun Fei shot out mid-air. His five fingers turned talon-sharp, slashing toward that masked dark-clad invader, full of unstoppable Might.
“Your Majesty!” Cech and the team recognized Sun Fei’s voice, beamed with joy, and stepped aside smartly, sealing escape paths.
Bang-bang-bang-bang!
That same instant, Sun Fei and the cloaked man traded blow after blow. In [Assassin Mode], Sun Fei ruled hand-to-hand battle—every body part battled back. He hit hard as a thunderstorm, forcing the cloaked man onto back steps, tangled up by the wild strikes.
