Chapter 189: Primordial Yin Power

Lin Mu did not participate in the subsequent capture mission. Among that group of Europeans at the hotel, there was only one Superpower User, and his ability was illusion-based. Judging by its usage, it could cause chaos, but it wasn’t a life-threatening threat.

He returned to the hotel first. By then, it was almost noon. Yao Xianxian was already up. When Lin Mu entered the room, she was sitting on the sofa, flipping through a latest fashion magazine.

“Back already?”

Seeing Lin Mu walk in, Yao Xianxian put down the magazine and gave a slight smile.

“Yeah, been so busy since early morning. Something big happened in Jingdu!”

Lin Mu stretched lazily, loosening his muscles and bones.

“I saw the news reports. Said there was some trouble at the Heavy Prisoners Penitentiary. People even uploaded blurry videos online, seemed like sneaky footage taken from far away.”

Yao Xianxian stood up and walked behind Lin Mu, compliantly massaging his shoulders.

“Seems Brother Jiang and the others didn’t cover up well enough, letting people film secretly. But thinking about it, it was such a huge scene, impossible to keep completely secret. Information spreads so freely these days. At least they stopped the prisoner riot in time.”

Lin Mu placed his hands flat on the sofa, squinting slightly, enjoying Yao Xianxian’s massage.

“So you joined the action?”

She asked curiously, continuing to massage his shoulders.

“Of course I did. Why else would Brother Jiang call me over? Couldn’t just go there to watch! Had to contribute, since we’re all part of the Dragon Protection Corps. Impossible to stand idly by!”

Lin Mu smiled slightly. “Plus, there was a really powerful Superpower User there. He actually combined Alien Energy with Ancient Martial Arts. Quite original.”

“That’s possible? Wouldn’t Cultivation cause problems?”

Yao Xianxian stopped massaging in surprise.

“It wouldn’t if he didn’t practice Zhenqi. Before reaching the Zhenqi Realm, Ancient Martial Arts is just physical training. Alien Energy naturally blends perfectly with the body, so no problems.”

Lin Mu chuckled and shook his head. “Also, according to him, after activating his Superpower talent, he could no longer practice Zhenqi. If that’s true, there probably aren’t hidden dangers.”

If two or more types of energy coexisted within the body, the danger would increase significantly. It involved the tricky combination of blending different energies; messing up could make the body explode and die.

But using Alien Energy to drive Ancient Martial Arts didn’t have this danger. Unless he developed Zhenqi inside his body still, it was just a new way of utilizing Alien Energy.

“What about the other Superpower Users? Catch any?”

Yao Xianxian resumed massaging his shoulders.

“Just one. A mental-type Superpower User. He used his power to simultaneously alter the memories of over a dozen People’s Armed Police officers, implanting fake recollections. But while trying to ambush me, his own energy backfired. Probably no hope left.”

Lin Mu smiled slightly. “But there was this fatty, quite formidable, could actually communicate with Earth Power. He knew earth-gliding techniques. While I was tied up with that Master, he and his accomplice sank into the ground. No idea where they ran off to.”

“Huh? Earth-gliding?”

Yao Xianxian burst out laughing. “Isn’t that just like that mythical Earth Roaming Saint? Digging holes underground all day, running around everywhere.”

“Digging holes? Ah, that’s it!”

Hearing Yao Xianxian say this, Lin Mu’s eyes lit up. He realized who dug that tunnel at the Heavy Prisoners Penitentiary. Thinking about the tunnel’s width and height, and connecting it to the fatty’s build… the answer was obvious.

After explaining this to Yao Xianxian, she was again overcome with giggles. She couldn’t believe that Superpower User really dug a tunnel, going all the way from outside into the Heavy Prisoners Penitentiary.

For the next while, Lin Mu accompanied Yao Xianxian to visit several sights in Jingdu. They even made it to the Badaling Great Wall, touring this amazing structure, one of the world’s eight wonders.

After a day of sightseeing, they finally returned to the hotel that night. Lin Mu had just finished showering when he received another call from Jiang Chu.

“Brother Jiang, how’d the action go today?”

Answering the phone, Lin Mu asked with a smile.

“Went smoothly! We led them to an incomplete section of highway as planned. But that Superpower User was very alert; he sensed something was off. Too late though! Surrounded by the main force, none of them escaped.”

Jiang Chu laughed heartily, sounding triumphant.

“That’s great! Though some Superpower Users got away, catching this group is still a huge success!”

Lin Mu also laughed.

“By the way, Brother Lin, the reason I’m calling so late is because I wanted to discuss something.”

Jiang Chu shifted the topic.

“What is it?”

Right then, Yao Xianxian emerged from the shower. She sat beside Lin Mu, drying her hair. Giving him a curious look. Lin Mu placed a finger on his lips, signaling for silence.

“About that hijacking incident back then. Director Wen from Guangdong wants to see you. Besides discussing cross-strait joint anti-drug efforts, he also wants to privately express his gratitude. After all, you did save his daughter.”

Jiang Chu explained cheerfully.

“You mean Wen Qiming? He’d thank me for saving his daughter? From what I know, he doesn’t seem that type.”

Lin Mu let out a scoff. The words Wen Rongrong said on the plane still echoed in his ears.

“Haha! Seems Brother Lin has some misunderstanding about Director Wen. I won’t say more over the phone. When you meet him, you’ll see Director Wen isn’t who you imagine at all.”

Jiang Chu laughed again but didn’t elaborate. “This current case involves Superpower Users, and you, Brother Lin, have experience dealing with them. So we’d like you to go handle the liaison.”

“Alright. Since I’m not overly busy lately, might as well head to Guangdong for a bit of sightseeing too.”

Lin Mu pondered for a moment before agreeing.

“Going to Guangdong?”

Yao Xianxian stopped drying her hair, asking strangely.

“Mm. That previous hijacking incident ties into some issues with cross-strait joint drug enforcement. They want me to go take a look. Things seem to be getting more complex. Superpower Users are involved now, so I’ll go understand the situation.”

Lin Mu nodded, then took the towel from Yao Xianxian’s hand and started drying her hair. As he rubbed, Zhenqi flowed into his palm, generating intense heat. In no time, her hair was completely dry.

“Going to Guangdong? That means we have to split up again.”

Yao Xianxian turned around to face him, pouting pitifully.

“Silly girl, you can come with me! The photo shoot here is finished, right? Got a few free days? Let’s go explore Guangdong together. Heard it’s pretty great, with loads of delicious food!”

Lin Mu gave her nose a playful squeeze, smiling gently.

“Hehe, but I shouldn’t eat too much. What if I get fat? Couldn’t bear to show my face!”

Yao Xianxian shrugged her shoulders, giggling coquettishly.

“Don’t worry! I’m here! I have a special way to help you lose weight!”

Lin Mu winked, a mischievous smile on his face.

“Mean!”

Yao Xianxian suddenly turned bright red. Like a startled rabbit, she sprang up and dashed into the bedroom.

Lin Mu looked utterly bewildered. He had actually meant he could use acupuncture to get rid of extra fat. He had no clue what Yao Xianxian was thinking that made her react so suddenly.

He took out his laptop and booked two flight tickets to Guangzhou for the next morning. Then he headed into the bedroom to rest.

Holding the deeply sleeping Yao Xianxian, Lin Mu’s left hand moved slightly. Shifting from the full slopes down to her flat stomach. He concentrated just a touch of Zhenqi, sensing the situation near her Dantian.

Within Huaxia’s martial arts system, the cultivation path involves: refining essence into Qi, refining Qi into spirit, and refining spirit to return to emptiness. The first major realm, refining essence into Qi, is the foundational stage, equivalent to the Foundation Building stage in Cultivation.

During this realm, a Martial Artist constantly refines the Essence Blood within their body, transforming it into condensed Zhenyuan. Initially, it’s insubstantial vapor. Only as Cultivation deepens does it condense into liquid Zhenyuan.

To enter the stage of Zhenqi Cultivation, Zhenyuan must fill the Dantian, fully activating its function. Only then can it store Zhenqi, allowing progression to the next stage and continuously unlocking life potential.

Yao Xianxian now had an immense amount of Zhenyuan gathered in her Dantian. A significant portion of this Zhenyuan was refined from Primordial Yin Power. Since Yao Xianxian never mentioned it, Lin Mu suspected the Yao Family might not fully understand the specifics of this Cultivation Technique’s progression.

Cultivation Techniques requiring Primordial Yin and Primordial Yang Power were generally high-level. Once mastered, their power far exceeded ordinary techniques. The prerequisite was that before a certain stage, one absolutely must not lose Primordial Yin or Primordial Yang Power.

Simpler terms: one must not lose their virginity prematurely. For techniques like this, doing so too early might even permanently hinder further Cultivation progress.

It was precisely because Lin Mu knew this that he hadn’t yet plucked this tender bloom, Yao Xianxian. Otherwise, having already tasted the sweetness of intimacy, how could he bear to merely hold such a stunning beauty every night without acting?

After carefully examining how the Zhenyuan concentrated near the Dantian, Lin Mu felt fairly sure. It seemed before long, Yao Xianxian should be ready to break through, entering the Spirit Gathering Realm, formally awakening the power of the Dantian.

At this moment, Sicelle, still in Europe for business negotiations, received a call.

“What? Only six came back? The others… all captured in Jingdu?”

Frowning heavily, Sicelle put down the phone. He thought silently for a moment. Then he dialed another number.
