Chapter 145: Divinity

“Bang!”

Su Lun kicked the Ancestral Spirit Troll in the chest, sending it flying. Then he summoned lightning again. From the rolling thunderclouds in the sky, a bolt of lightning struck down.

The Purple Dragon Halberd shone brightly with lightning once more. Feeling the surging power, Su Lun flashed forward and charged again. Just as the Ancestral Spirit Troll was getting up, it only had time to raise its arm to block.

Su Lun’s figure charged forward again. The Ancestral Spirit Troll’s resistance grew weaker. Although the Ancestral Spirit had no clear weak point, every injury consumed its power. The Purple Dragon Halberd flashed with brilliant lightning, then swung down with immense force towards its head.

This was a power fused from faith, soul, and elemental energies. After the Ancestral Spirit’s death, it all dissipated. The Ancestral Spirit’s body vanished, but a point of spiritual light coalesced and formed, finally turning into a diamond-like Energy Crystal. This object was very unique; apart from Legendary Level creatures leaving it behind, only certain Elemental Creatures, Demons, or Celestial beings had a chance of producing it.

After the Ancestral Spirit completely dissipated, a mass of pale golden substance still floated in the air. Su Lun reached out and took it. But the moment he touched it, this energy directly entered Su Lun’s body.

“Ding! Divine Power detected!”

“Extracting… Extraction complete. Gained 2 points of Divinity. Does the host wish to merge?”

“Divinity?” Hearing the System’s prompt, Su Lun finally understood what that golden energy was. Divinity, the most miraculous power in the Multiverse, a power only possessed by gods and Divine Creatures.

Divinity could be understood as a kind of godly bloodline. This bloodline could be bestowed by a god upon a follower, or passed down to offspring.

Su Lun didn’t know much about Divinity, but in this world, many legendary Heroes were said to have been granted Divinity by gods, directly gaining great power.

The most obvious effect of Divine Power was immunity to ordinary weapons. Only a Supernatural Weapon could harm them, and it also reduced various types of damage.

Actually, demon bloodlines had a similar effect, but only High-tier Demons. Many Demon Lords in the Abyss possessed Divinity. Divinity also granted many abilities, including Spell-like Abilities, power over rules, and so on.

After losing their Priest, the entire Troll Tribe became even more chaotic. Led by Su Lun, the Trolls in the camp were finally all killed.

The sky gradually lightened. After a night of fierce fighting, the battle was finally nearing its end.

Many Gnolls surrendered. Apart from a few who escaped, all the Trolls were killed. Then all the corpses and flesh chunks were thrown into the flames to be burned, even the Gnolls’ bodies were no exception.
