Chapter 91: Tavern

The strength of an adult Barbarian was around twelve points. After upgrades, the top-level Barbarian Berserker had a strength of eighteen points. This set of Ogre equipment had limited effect on them, but it worked well for ordinary people. It could still be sold for a good price.

An Ogre’s heart could also be used to brew Magic Potions, but Heatherway couldn’t make them either.

“There are also some Demons materials here—Clawfiend claws. You can handle these as well,” Su Lun said, taking out various materials from his Storage Space.

“No way, how many materials do you have? Did you rob the Treasure Vault of the Northern Lands’ Marquis? So many materials?” Seeing Su Lun continuously take out materials, Heatherway widened her eyes in shock. Although these materials weren’t particularly rare, together they were worth at least fifty thousand Gold Nar. How many monsters did he have to hunt to gather all this?

She remembered how she had searched for materials before and was almost ambushed by two Mountain Rage Bears, nearly burying her bones in the Wasteland. And now, Su Lun effortlessly produced so many magic materials—it was really disheartening.

“So many materials—you’re going to exploit me like cheap labor!”

“If you don’t want to, I’ll just take these things away,” Su Lun said with a laugh.

“No way! Once these things are with me, they’re mine!” Heatherway snapped her fingers and used a mage hand to gather the items.

“Is there anything else? Bring it all out,” Heatherway said after storing the materials away.

“Oh, right. I also have a leaf from the Wisdom Tree here,” Su Lun said, taking out the Wisdom Tree leaf he had obtained earlier.

“What? A leaf from the Wisdom Tree?” Upon seeing the leaf in Su Lun’s hand, Heatherway immediately pounced on him, wrapping her arms around him and reaching for the leaf.

Su Lun only felt a soft figure crash into him, a pleasant fragrance wafting to his nose. That’s foul play! It’s like charging with the ball!

“Weren’t you just saying I was exploiting you?” Su Lun flipped his hand and stored the Wisdom Tree leaf in his storage bar.

“Where’s the Wisdom Tree leaf? Let me see it quickly,” Heatherway demanded, grabbing Su Lun’s hand.

“Is it important to you?” Su Lun’s eyes lit up.

“Very important, very important!” Heatherway nodded repeatedly, like a pecking chick.

“I see,” Su Lun nodded, but after looking at Heatherway clinging to him, he decisively said, “No.”

“You…” Heatherway glared angrily at Su Lun, her chest seemingly swelling with rage—she looked fierce yet harmless.

“What about me? I’m your employer.”

Heatherway seemed to suddenly think of something, gritted her teeth, then leaned close to Su Lun’s ear and whispered, “How about I marry you, and you give me the Wisdom Tree leaf?”

“Get up first.” Su Lun grabbed the back of Heatherway’s collar and lifted her off of him. “What do you need the Wisdom Tree leaf for?”

“If I tell you, will you give it to me?” Heatherway said huffily.

“No negotiations.”

Slap Su Lun reached out and swatted Heatherway’s perky bottom. He had wanted to do that for a while—finally, he found an opportunity.

Heatherway looked at Su Lun with a hurt expression, then pouted and said, “The Wisdom Tree leaf can be used to make an Awakening Potion. It increases my mental power and speeds up mana recovery, with absolutely no side effects.”

“I see. Then take it and make it,” Su Lun nodded, taking out the Wisdom Tree leaf. Upon seeing it, Heatherway immediately grabbed it, her eyes glowing.

“How many bottles of Awakening Potion can this leaf make?”

“One leaf only makes one bottle. And making the Awakening Potion isn’t just about the Wisdom Tree leaf—it requires other supplementary ingredients too.”

“Luckily, although the other ingredients are valuable, they aren’t too hard to find. I have them all prepared. With this Awakening Potion, I can break through to Intermediate Wizard,” Heatherway said excitedly.

“This is great—I keep my word!” Not wanting to waste a moment, Heatherway kicked Su Lun out of the Laboratory and immediately began preparing the Awakening Potion.

After leaving Heatherway’s Laboratory, Su Lun continued directing the slaves to build the aqueduct. Once he finished the day’s work, Su Lun habitually went to the Tavern for a drink.

As soon as he sat down at the bar, the Tavern manager, Wright, quietly said to Su Lun, “Lord, a strange person came to the Tavern today.”

“Really? What’s strange about them?” Su Lun felt a stir in his heart and pressed for details.

“I can’t really say, but I have a feeling that person isn’t simple,” Wright said, sounding troubled.

Su Lun took a sip from his glass. “Where is that person?”

“In the corner by the left window,” Wright said.

“Get me another drink,” Su Lun said, glancing toward that direction. In the corner sat a man around thirty years old. Then he turned back to Wright.

“Please wait a moment, Lord.” Wright soon brought over a glass of alcohol.

A familiar System notification sounded in Su Lun’s ear: “Congratulations, Host. A wandering Hero has appeared in your Tavern. You can try to recruit them.”

“Tavern: Currently one wandering Hero present.”

Taking the glass from Wright, Su Lun picked it up and walked over to the man.

“New here?” Su Lun placed the glass in front of the man and sat opposite him.

“Yeah.” The man turned to look at Su Lun. It was then that Su Lun noticed the man was blind in one eye.

“Try this Rum. It’s pretty good,” Su Lun gestured to him.

“Thanks,” the man said coldly after taking a small sip.

“I’m the Lord of this Territory. Interested in joining?” Su Lun continued, ignoring his cold tone.

“You’re the Lord?” Hearing Su Lun’s words, the man finally looked at him seriously.

“Yes, is someone else trying to impersonate me?”

“I heard the Lord of this Territory is very powerful. I want to spar with you. If I lose, I’ll join your Territory,” the man nodded.

“You want to duel with me?” Su Lun looked at the man with interest.

“Yes!”

“Alright, come with me then.” Su Lun led the man out of the Tavern and toward the Training Ground in the Military Camp.

“By the way, what’s your name?”

“Harrison.”

They quickly arrived at the Training Ground. Su Lun stood in the middle and waved for Harrison to attack. Harrison didn’t hold back—he drew his sword and immediately charged at Su Lun with a sweeping strike.

Su Lun blocked it easily with his spear. Harrison wasn’t surprised; his longsword smoothly swung down aiming for Su Lun’s fingers. Su Lun smiled slightly, gave his spear a shake to deflect Harrison’s sword, and then immediately swept it back toward him.

The fight was without suspense—Harrison was no match for Su Lun.
