Chapter 11: Taking Action

Fujiwara was a key player in the basketball club and quite strong. But in front of Fang Jing, who had mastered Goju-ryu Hard Qigong, Fujiwara’s punches had little effect.

This level of punches did not hurt at all.

Using the impact resistance techniques of Karate, Fang Jing could easily withstand them head-on.

The improvement in his strength, stamina, and speed had greatly enhanced his physical body.

He could not help but grin.

“Good! Very good… You only have yourselves to blame for starting this.”

In an instant, the tip of his foot struck Fujiwara’s shin like lightning.

A sharp pain shot through Fujiwara like an electric current. His face turned as red as spilled ketchup, and he crouched down.

“You’re asking for it!”

At the same time, another follower noticed something was wrong and rushed forward, swinging his fist.

Too slow and clumsy!

With that thought in mind, Fang Jing took a step forward, elbowed Fujiwara out of the way, twisted his body, and delivered a straight punch to the opponent’s incoming fist.

Crack!

Fist met fist. Fang Jing felt a slight pain in his hand bones, but he did not care because the other guy was in more pain.

The follower’s fist made a fragile sound. He let out a scream, his face turning pale for a moment. Clutching his bruised fist, he stumbled backward.

The last follower roared, swinging a Metal Bat at him.

Fang Jing sidestepped, sliding away with a swift movement. He dodged the Metal Bat and slapped the follower across the face with his left hand, making his nose bleed.

Then, he chased after him, landing several kicks squarely in the abdomen. The follower bent over like a cooked shrimp.

Just then, the follower who could still move got up from the ground. With a furious roar, he lunged from behind and tightly wrapped his arms around Fang Jing’s waist.

Hmph!

Fang Jing spun around, using the power of his hips and legs to nearly throw the guy off. Seizing an opening, he turned and struck the follower’s back with his elbow. The guy staggered and fell to the ground with a thud.

Fang Jing finally understood that he had truly become stronger. His series of moves flowed smoothly, almost like instinct. He did not need to consciously control his actions to skillfully defeat three people in a row.

Even so, his right hand was slightly injured, with the skin on his knuckles scraped.

“You bastard—!”

Fujiwara was not willing to accept defeat. He was strong and worked out often, so he probably had not lost in fights before. However, he had never formally learned martial arts. Fujiwara charged from the right, throwing a punch at him.

Fang Jing suddenly twisted his body and reached out with five fingers, catching Fujiwara’s fist.

“I really don’t like the way you talk to me.”

He began to apply pressure with his fingers and palm. Instantly, Fujiwara showed a pained expression. He felt as if his fist were caught in a vise and could not pull it back. The force from Fang Jing’s grip made him bend his knees and half-squat against his will.

“I personally hate violence, but that doesn’t mean I enjoy being bullied. I don’t think Student Fujiwara does either!”

“Attack! All of you, attack!”

Fujiwara, crouching on the ground, shouted in panic, calling in the two people outside the alley. At the same time, the guy with the Metal Bat got up, clutching his bleeding nose.

Faced with the disadvantage in numbers, Fang Jing was not worried at all. He found himself unexpectedly calm, filled with a deep confidence.

He first kicked Fujiwara away and let out a light laugh. Instead of staying put, he rushed forward. He struck the nearest person in the face with a ridge-hand strike, then hit another under the chin with a palm-heel strike.

Following a series of thuds, it did not take long for the group, including the two lookouts outside, to be knocked to the ground.

In truth, Fang Jing had not used his full strength. Still, taking his punches head-on was undoubtedly painful.

After witnessing Fang Jing’s skills, they pretended to be knocked out and stayed on the ground.

What a joke—why risk their lives against someone who could take on several people by himself?

They did not have a life-or-death bond with Fujiwara anyway, so there was no need.

“That’s it… Fujiwara, I’ll generously let you off this time. But there won’t be a next time. I’m not interested in what you’ve done, as long as you don’t provoke me. Then I’ll act like nothing happened.”

Fujiwara was the most badly beaten; his entire face was swollen from Fang Jing’s slaps.

Fang Jing then took Fujiwara’s Phone and checked the emails inside.

Sure enough, Sasamori was involved with this guy.

“You should have been smart enough to delete all the flirty emails in your Phone!”

Fang Jing waved the Phone in his hand.

“I’ll take this. Remember, we can maintain a peaceful relationship, but only if you know your place.”

After saying this, he picked up his schoolbag from the roadside, brushed off the dust, and walked away unhurriedly.

He left behind Fujiwara Shoichi, whose eyes were filled with resentment.

Back home, Fang Jing took out his Bamboo Sword and practiced swinging it in his room.

The small room echoed with the sharp sounds of the Bamboo Sword. Regular practice had limited effect on improving his skills, but it was not entirely useless.

However, Fang Jing had no intention of slacking off. He practiced swinging the sword every day to train his body and mind—it was quite enjoyable for him.

“How does the Growth Value from Yin Energy conversion improve skills?”

He occasionally used this time to ponder this question, as he found it contained many unsolved mysteries.

Take “English” as an example. Fang Jing strengthened his English all at once, raising it from Elementary Level to Intermediate Level. A lot of extra information flooded into his mind.

No, it was more like the English knowledge he had learned but forgotten became clear again.

It felt amazing, as if English had become his native language.

“This is truly a mystery. There are too many things that can’t be explained.”

Overall, his research into the Fate Fragment was not deep enough, and he needed to continue exploring.

“Summarizing from previous experiences, the enhancement from the data panel doesn’t impart knowledge, experience, or power out of thin air. Instead, it builds upon my existing foundation to elevate me further…”

Fang Jing analyzed it himself. The English skill was a perfect example. After strengthening, he did not learn new words or sentence structures. The enhancement simply helped him recall what he had forgotten and grasp key points, allowing him to master what he had already learned.

“This explains why most of the martial arts books I read before remained at the ‘not yet learned’ level…”

He also tried reading some martial arts books to see if he could develop new skills.

In theory, the martial arts recorded in books could be transformed into his own knowledge. However, after practical experience, he realized it was not that simple. Through actual practice, he confirmed that skills like “martial arts” were memorized by the body.
