Chapter 507: Have You Asked the Physical Education Teacher?
Chapter 507: Have You Asked the Physical Education Teacher?
One of them with a cigarette behind his ear threw down a card and remarked,
“Not surprised Wang Feng survived – that old man’s full of tricks. But Long San making it? Now that’s unexpected.”
Zhao Chen.
The longest survivor at this school, rumored to have over ten Fate items.
“Luck matters too. Newbie, introduce yourself.”
Zhao Ping, Zhao Chen’s sister, swiped lipstick across her lips while checking her compact mirror. She’d entered this school willingly.
“I’m Wang Xiaokai. Work as a product manager.”
The workplace veteran quickly recovered from his nerves.
“Your recruit sticking with you?”
Luo Shan across the table stared flatly at Wang Feng. The ex-underground boxer led their class’s toughest trio with Zhao siblings – the most stable veteran team.
“I’ll follow Brother Long.”
Wang Xiaokai owed his life to Long San. Others might not see it, but to him, this quiet man was the real big shot.
“Oh?”
Zhao Chen eyed the silent Long San.
“You’re acting different after this Extend Life. Didn’t even speak when entering.” The senior member noticed immediately, though Zuo Meng hadn’t bothered hiding – why would a T-Rex pretend to be an ant?
“Walk us through your Extend Life.”
School tradition demanded survivors share experiences to update Fate Books. Their only defense against evil gods in this cursed world.
Wang Feng lit up first…
When Wang Xiaokai’s turn came, Zuo Meng fed them scraps from Long San’s memories.
“Double Fate? Deadly Fate and Fate Replacement? Surviving that takes insane luck.”
Even Zhao Ping looked impressed. Their veteran team might’ve fallen to such dangers. Wang Feng’s crew losing only one member hinted at hidden advantages.
“Doesn’t matter. Surviving this hellhole…”
The class bell drowned Zhao Chen out.
“Another damn class?!”
Color drained from every face. Luo Shan’s cards scattered as he jumped up. The room warped like kaleidoscope glass – three seconds later, their tavern hideout became a decaying classroom.
“Reality shift?”
Zuo Meng watched walls ripple. Earlier he’d gauged the school as ordinary evil god-level. Now he amended: mindless god-shells running on preset rules.
If so…
Zuo Meng had been cautious at first. After all, he’d only infiltrated as a puddle of ink. While his rank could suppress the school, a deranged evil god could easily destroy his ink form in direct confrontation. But now that he’d discerned the creature’s true nature, there was no reason to hesitate.
“Enough stalling!
“It’s a school-wide test!”
Zhao Chen and the others materialized in classroom seats wearing school uniform-like outfits. The school’s rules bound everyone within its walls – the price paid for its so-called “protection”.
“How’s this happening so fast?”
Wang Xiaokai gaped as students kept appearing in the classroom. He finally understood their class hadn’t been empty – the other students had just been outside school grounds. The ringing bell had forcibly summoned everyone back, with exam instructions materializing on each desk.
The school-wide test.
This was the institution’s term for collective trials. What Wang Feng’s group called “Extend Life” missions were labeled as major courses here. But this sudden school-wide test would be ten times deadlier than regular Extend Life courses.
“Impossible! We never got a timetable – the school’s breaking its own rules!”
Zhao Chen’s voice shook. As the longest-surviving student, he’d exploited every loophole in the school’s regulations to cheat death. This sudden rule change left him reeling – how could he stay calm when his survival strategies were crumbling?
“The school has that kind of rule?”
Wang Feng narrowed his eyes. Though experienced himself, he’d never heard of academic schedules. Clearly Zhao Chen’s clique had been hoarding secrets.
“Doesn’t matter now either way!”
Luo Shan’s face darkened. The school had already recalled all students.
Every seat in eighteen classrooms filled with students from first to third grades.
“Why am I back here?”
“We just completed an Extend Life mission!”
Confused whispers filled the air. Zuo Meng remained unfazed in Long San’s seat, casually crossing his legs. The school-wide test confirmed his suspicions – the institution still hadn’t detected his true identity.
Click-clack.
Leather shoes echoed through sudden silence. On the third floor’s sixteen classrooms, identical scenarios played out as faceless beings entered. Veterans froze mid-breath. Newcomers swallowed their questions and copied the veterans’ rigid postures.
“Physical Education canceled. School-wide test begins.”
The faceless being mechanically placed exam papers on the lectern, offering programmed justification for Zhao Chen’s earlier objections.
“First subject—”
“Hold it!”
Zuo Meng stood. Horror gripped the classroom. Zhao Chen and Wang Feng stared at “Long San” in disbelief – how could any veteran commit such a basic violation?
School rules were absolute.
Speaking during class meant death.
“Cancel PE? Did you consult the Physical Education Teacher?” Zuo Meng strode toward the lectern, stripping off his school uniform to reveal a black tank top underneath.
